Green Toys Playsets Are Environmentally Friendly And The Perfect Gift!

Are you a parent or grandparent concerned about the safety issues, recalls, and warnings associated with many of today's toys-particularly those produced in some foreign countries? Whether it is a lead paint issue or another component that makes a toy unsafe, parents and grandparents are looking for environmentally friendly and child safe alternatives they can trust for their kids and grand kids. And U.S. toy companies are responding!

Green Toys Inc. of California is quickly becoming the preferred toy company of choice for parents and grandparents. Green Toys offers child safe toys that are just as much fun as the old versions, but the materials they are made from are environmentally safe, while still providing a high quality toy.

Perhaps you are already familiar with the production of polyethylene, but if not, here's a quick primer. Polyethylene is a safe, clean, high density plastic product created entirely from recycled milk jugs. And this is the material Green Toys uses to produce their high quality toys.

Green Toys products also help the environment by saving energy. Did you know that by recycling one pound of milk jugs saves enough energy to power your laptop computer going for one month? It is also equivalent to saving 3,000 AAA batteries. That's a lot of batteries, which translates to a lot of toxic waste in our landfills. By purchasing child safe green toys, the environment is staying safer for the next generations.

What other factors should be considered when purchasing green toys? Thinking about the amount of emissions from gasoline, ideally the products should be made in the USA. This eliminates transportation across the world and saves gas while lowering the price that would have to factor in to international shipping. All Green Toys products are produced in Northern California.

Green Toys Inc. also extends their environmentally friendly policy to the packaging they use, creating their toy packaging from recycled cardboard. At every stage of the process-toy production, packaging, and even transportation of the finished toys-Green Toys focuses on keeping our world a greener place.

What products are available from Green Toys? While still in the early stages, these toys are offered with a strong selection for both boys and girls. Whether given as a gift, or purchased to teach children about how recycling can impact them, there is the perfect toy for any child.

Tea sets are always a winner with little girls, and the Green Toys tea set is no exception. In addition to being made from recycled materials, this set is dishwasher safe, meets FDA standards for food contact so your child can serve real food and eat right from these dishes, and is quality tested. The tea set includes a teapot, sugar bowl, creamer, and four spoons, cups, and saucers.

Little boys who love trucks will love the trucks produced by the Green Toys company. Equipped with a rear door that opens and closes, the Green Toys truck also has a movable recycling bed. One feature you won't find? Dangerous metal axles. The Green Toys truck also utilizes a safe axle design. These trucks provide another great opportunity to teach children the concept of environmental awareness. You can play "recycling" with your child at playtime, loading materials into the truck for transportation to the recycling plant.

Green toys are also available for family fun, with choices of flying discs and jump ropes. Everyone in the family can develop an eco-system friendly style of play, while at the same time fostering family time.

Many toys imported from other countries do not meet the same strict safety standards as those toys produced in the United States. For instance, Green Toys must pass specific standards and tests to ensure they meet California Prop lead and cadmium restrictions, pass Consumer Safety Improvement Act and Safety Standards, meet FDA requirements for toys that will have contact with food, and other additional voluntary testing including some international standards.

When you purchase toys and gifts from Green Toys, you're buying more than a fun, child safe toy. You're also helping protect the environment for our children and keeping Americans employed. These are some great ways to contribute to a better future for the next generation.

Green Toys Are Coming!

We are very excited to announce that Bill Bam's Collectibles has joined forces with Green Toys, Inc. of California to market a full line of environmentally friendly children play toys.

Green Toys is an innovator in the manufacture of play sets for boys and girls that are not only environmentally safe but also safe for your children to play with. Included in the line is a tool kit, cookware sets, dinner sets, dump trucks and jump rope.

Why buy Green Toys, Inc. products? The simple answer is because they use recycled products and this is good for the environment. Which is true, all Green Toys products are made primarily from recycled milk jugs and the packaging from recycled cardboard.

However the reasons go well beyond this one simple point. Because Green Toys manufacturing and distribution chains are located locally there is no need for container ships from China or the Far East manufacturing plants or long-haul truck shipping of raw materials. This has three “green” benefits:

1) Saves energy
2) Reduces greenhouse gasses
3) Fewer carbon emissions

Not only are Green Toys’ products good for the environment, they are some of the safest and best made toys on the market. Since they are produced in California they must meet or exceed this States very strict toy safety laws.

Green Toys products are tested by nationally recognized, independent, third-party labs (located, yes, in the USA.) They contain no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA. They are also designed without any external coatings, eliminating the fear of lead paint.

Green Toys’ products pass a plethora of tests, including:

1) Consumer Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA)
2) Consumer Products Safety Standard Specification, ASTM F963
3) California Prop. 65 restrictions on lead & cadmium
4) FDA regulations for food contact
5) Voluntary testing for no BPA (Bisphenol-A)
6) International standards EN71 and ISO 8124

One final benefit is “USA made, USA jobs!” By supporting Green Toys you are helping the U.S. economy by keeping manufacturing jobs at home!
